Equipment & Services

Customers are often curious about our manufacturing equipment. On this page we will include our capabilities and equipment specifications.

Know How

Our engineers and designers are experienced in all phases of plastics molding. They are equipped to work with our customers from the initial conception to the finished part, providing part design assistance, prototypes, tool design, tool construction, and production parts.

Design

Our CAD system allows us to design tools using the most modern methods. The program that we use is a 3D wire frame program with solids, IGES, DXF, DWG, Parasolids, Step capabilities. We have translation software for most design systems. This gives us the ability to electronically communicate with our customer's design staff and our preferred tooling suppliers. These tooling suppliers are fully equipped, including CAM capability, to produce both prototype and production tooling and fixturing.

Our thermoplastics injection equipment ranges in size from 17 Ton to 500 Ton machines with a shot capacity of 1/2 oz to 54 oz.

We produce Phenolic parts as well as Thermoset injection molded parts. We also have compression and transfer molding capabilities.

Using a complete line of the latest equipment and molding techniques, we mold all thermoplastic engineering materials and all injection moldable thermoset materials.

Our injection molding equipment includes machines and auxiliary equipment to enable us to mold FEP and PFA teflon resins.

Shuttle Molding

Shuttle injection molding allows us to mold parts with numerous and/or complicated inserts and retain a stable molding cycle.

W-L Standard Series-Set-up Molding

Standard set-up molding offers a low cost alternative to independent tooling for parts made from nylon or acetal resins.
Capabilities include:
1 1/2"diameter cavitities
2 1/4" diameter cavitities
3 5/8" diameter cavitities
4" diameter cavitities

Small Parts Molding

Our Arburg molding machines are excellent for the economical production of small intricate parts.

Secondary Operations

A majority of the parts that we mold require a secondary operation or are a part of an assembly. For this reason, we have an extensive secondary and assembly department.

We also build special application equipment and fixtures to perform these secondary and assembly operations.

Quality Assurance Department

Our Quality Assurance Department ensures that the parts we produce meet customer print specifications using integrated statistical process control and the principles of total quality control into every aspect of the manufacturing operation.

Chemical and Test Laboratory

Our Research and Development Chemical Laboratory tests and evaluates materials used in production. Incoming materials are randomly tested and checked against the manufacturer's specifications upon receipt. All material certifications are kept on file and can be provided at customer request. All regrind materials generated during molding are tested to verify specifications are met before they can be reused. All hygroscopic materials are tested for acceptable moisture content before beginning to mold parts. Physical properties of molded parts (color/density,breakage,etc.) can be tested to meet customer specifications. Any customer's questions involving materials are resolved here, including REACH and RoHS compliance.

Customer Service / Order Processing & Delivery

Customer service is a daily commitment to the needs of our customers. Our engineers are available at all times to support our sales staff, providing information and solving customer problems on both new and existing parts. We are committed to finding ways of improving the tools and processes to produce parts more efficiently, with higher quality and less cost to our valued customers.
Our customer service/order entry department, uses a computerized database, that can give our customers whatever information they require concerning their orders.
